Aluma started as a small family crew installing aluminum railings — long-lasting, low-maintenance, custom-built systems designed to handle Canadian weather. The work grew because customers told their neighbours. Decks, fences, gates, and columns followed. Then renovations. Then additions and full residential and commercial work.
Aluma Contracting Ltd was incorporated in October 2020 to formalize what had been operating informally for years. The crews carry more than twenty-five years of combined experience in the trade. Today we work across the GTA, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Niagara, and Oakville — interior and exterior, residential and commercial. Some lines of work — railings & glass — got big enough to live on their own dedicated site. Most projects start and finish here.
It means the person you talk to on the phone is the person who comes to look at the project. The person who quotes is the person who's there on install day. The crew who shows up at 7 AM is the crew that left at 5 PM yesterday. No subcontractor maze. No "the foreman who saw your job moved to a different project." No surprises.
When we need a trade we don't carry in-house — drywall on big jobs, electrical, some plumbing — we bring in a partner we've worked with for years. We stay accountable. They answer to us, you answer to no one but us.
Every project gets a written warranty appropriate to the work. For our railing fabrications, that's 20 years on the aluminum frame, 10 years on glass and powder coat, 5 years on workmanship. For renovations, additions, and custom work, warranty terms are written into your project quote so you can read them before signing.
